I am a writer and artist who enjoys working with a range of media. After studying art and visual communication, I spent time doing graphic design and production for businesses, teaching art, and working at a local education nonprofit. Now, I make art and develop stories for children. I live north of Boston and tend a large garden, which is often a source of inspiration.

I have a degree in visual communication from The George Washington University and I have pursued additional studies, including a Post-baccalaureate Certificate in Art Education, at Massachusetts College of Art. I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Greater Haverhill Arts Association, and the 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge. I also serve as a Massachusetts Certified Master Gardener.
